SKETCHBOOK ASSIGNMENTS and EXAMPLES.

Select a piece of music, preferably with no words, and VISUALLY describe the evolution of what you hear.  Perhaps assign certain repetitive sounds can be indicated by the same color or mark.  Different notations and marks can indicate different octaves or the occurence of rests.

Emphasis is on working nonobjectively in order to reinforce the SENSATION of the sound rather than a literal interpretation.  Use the long horizontal scroll provided to capture the evolution of the song.
